Osechi is a traditional meal eaten on New Year's Day in Japan.
In most cases, osechi meals are to enjoyed at home among family members and relatives. But here at Ukiyo, we have made it available to everyone as an "osechi lunch," freshly and skillfully prepared by our chef. Each item in the meal has an auspicious meaning attached to it, meant to to bring you good fortune in the year ahead!
Ukiyo will serve osechi lunches from January 4 to 10 this year.
Osechi Lunch 1,900 yen

Yuzu stuffed with daikon pickles and salmon roe, carved carrot "flowers", grilled adductor, marinated salmon, umaki (rolled omelet with eel), kazunoko (herring roe), sea bream fishcake, chilled yellowtail teriyaki, savory oil-packed oyster, kuromame (sweet black beans), fried yuba, fried shrimp balls, iridori (chicken with simmered root vegetables), rice, suimono soup, coffee or black tea, and dessert
※Rice and suimono soup can be replaced with ozoni for an additional 200 yen
