A good season to eat unagi

Hi, beautiful friends!

It's been so hot for days around Joetsu area, hasn't it? We hope you all are doing fine.

Today, we would like to introduce our famous unagi (eel) dishes to you.

Unagi is considered a healthy food rich in nutrients such as vitamins A, B1, B2, D, and E; plus DPA, EPA, and several minerals.

Ukiyo offers two unagi dishes for lunch.

One is the Unagi Kamameshi Set. We cook unagi kamameshi, rice with unagi and dashi (a savory fish broth) in an iron pot, at your table. The kamameshi is accompanied by tempura, miso soup, and side dishes.

The other unagi lunch is the Ukiyo Traditional Unagi.

In this delicious traditional preparation, unagi is slathered in traditional salty-sweet sauce and grilled.

For the sake of our guests' health and peace of mind, we serve only domestic unagi.
